| right. so that was short-lived. in order to allow everyone ever to make comments (be they lewd, rude, or sugary sweet) on my journal, i up and shifted to livejournal. this user-name was taken (oh, horror of horrors. after all that thought and effort...)
new journal: www.livejournal.com/users/etoile_perdu
for those of you who are in no way francophones, it means "lost star." no more french pandemonium for me. but hey, i'll still be making comments on y'all's xangas, and now there won't be any confusion about who's commenting (not like i ever used leezeed anyway)

| standing in the clairidge theater...
me: "i wish i could get a garden state poster."
cue: woman standing in front of table moves, revealing a STACK of garden state posters. that, my friends, is magic.
so, no back luck, but a GREAT day, that will spill over into tomorrow, clearly. "trajectory." i have the greatest friends. ever.
go. see. garden state. | | |
| i'm hoping to get all my bad luck out today so that i have none left for tomorrow.
quick! somebody trip me! | | |
| my dad: "oh, alanna, we bought tickets for our vacation."
me: "yeah? when you going?"
dad: "next saturday. that's when you're leaving for massachusetts, right?"
me: "uh huh. when you guys coming back? before i leave for the year, right?" (jokingly)
dad: "just barely."
yes, that's right. my dad and stepmom are going on vacation to london for my last two weeks in the united states and plan on returning two days before i leave. wonderful. can you feel the love?
in other news: the governor of new jersey announced that he was gay, having an affair with another man, and was resigning from office.
kudos to him for honesty, as i can't imagine that announcing one's homosexuality to the political world (and world at large) would be remotely not-scary-as-hell. but what does it have to do with his position as governor? i should probably listen to his speech... but when did personal-life become such a huge deal in politics?
